Classes and Fees

Please also read the information below.
Senior training includes adults and juniors the age of 16 and over. All care is taken to ensure juniors are accommodated during the class. Children's classes for children aged 8 to 15 years old are also available at seperate times, and are only held during school terms.
Beginners Classes
You can immediately join a class that suits you (the instructor will accommodate you), or you can join our beginners class every Thursday at our Cook Dojo, 6pm-7pm. First class free! Please refer to Beginners Info page for more details.
AKI Membership fees
Prior to participating in any Aikido Kenkyukai International (AKI) dojo, you must be a member - please refer to the Joining Our Club page for membership application details. Current fees are:
- The AKI annual senior membership fee is AUS$100, which allows training in any AKI Dojo internationally. There is a 3 month cooling off period in which you can get a refund on your membership fee.
- An AKI annual fee for Juniors aged 16-18 years old costs $50.
- Children under the age of 16 require a once-off (i.e. non-annual) $10 membership.
Nominal training fees ranging from $5 to $15 per class applies, depending on the dojo. Junior training fees are kept to a minimum. Please talk to your instructor about the training fee. Training fees at Erindale are the cheapest, but the Police Citizen's Youth Club (PCYC) also charges an entry fee.
